What Does AVC ID Stand For?

AVC ID stands for Access Virtual Circuit Identifier. Every active broadband connection on the nbn® network has one.

What Does an AVC ID Look Like?

An AVC ID is a 15-character code. It starts with “AVC” followed by 12 numbers.

Why Do You Need an AVC ID?

Starting April 2025, you’ll need to provide your AVC ID when switching nbn® providers. This ensures your new provider can identify your existing connection easily, making the transfer process smooth.

AVC IDs are also important for troubleshooting. Telcos and nbn co use them to pinpoint and fix issues on your service.
