Minimum Standards

These are the baseline requirements we need to effectively manage and secure your IT environment. Meeting these standards ensures we can provide the best possible service.

Operating Systems

Workstations

  • Windows 11 Pro or Enterprise

    Windows 10 reached end of support October 14, 2025

  • macOS (Supported Versions)

    Versions within Apple's supported lifecycle (typically current and two previous major releases)

Servers

  • Windows Server 2022 or newer

    Server 2025 is the latest release

  • Linux (LTS Versions)

    Current LTS versions of supported distributions

Network Infrastructure

Firewall, Switching & Wireless

TP-Link Omada Network Equipment

Minimum standard for SMB clients

One Firewall Per Site

Dedicated firewall protection for each location

Managed Switches

All switches must be managed switches

WiFi 6 Access Points

Minimum 2x2 WiFi 6 APs with guest network isolation

Microsoft 365 / Google Workspace

Microsoft 365

  • Business Premium Minimum

    Required for security and management features

  • GDAP Relationship Required

    Granular delegated admin access with Solitary Technology

Google Workspace

  • Business Standard Minimum

    Required for security and management features

  • Unlicensed Admin Account

    Dedicated admin account for Solitary Technology

Common Requirements

Multi-factor authentication and conditional access policies enabled

Security

Security Software Included

Our security software is provided with your flat-rate IT package. This includes endpoint protection, email security, backup solutions, and monitoring tools to keep your business secure.

DNS Requirements

We require access to your domain's authoritative DNS for proper management and security configuration. This allows us to implement email security measures, configure services, and protect your domain from spoofing.

Required for Windows 11 compatibility

SSD Storage

Solid state drives required (no HDDs)

Age Limits

Desktops: max 5 years | Laptops: max 3 years

32GB recommended for optimal performance

Enterprise-Grade Components

Business-class hardware with ECC memory

SSD Storage

Solid state drives for reliability and speed

Service Contract or Cold Spare

Active vendor contract or on-site spare required

Internet Requirements

100 Mbps

Minimum Speed

Minimum internet speed required for cloud services, backups, and remote support.

4-Hour

NBN eSLA

NBN Enhanced SLA (or equivalent service level agreement) for business-critical connectivity.

Software & Licensing

Licensed Software Only

All software must be properly licensed and legal

Supported Versions

Applications must be within vendor support lifecycle

RMM Agent Required

Our monitoring agent installed on all managed devices
